If you have soft spot for all things retro, you won’t want to miss The Vintage Marketplace, coming to the Hamilton Convention Centre on April 18 and 19. From clothing to home decor, collectibles, furniture and more, you’ll find everything you love from an era gone by under one roof.
Celebrating its third year in Hamilton, the Vintage Marketplace will also feature music by the very talented Donna Lovejoy. A seasoned DJ, Lovejoy will be spinning vinyl all weekend long, providing the perfect backdrop to your shopping experience.
Also performing will be The Vaudevillian, comprised of blues singers Brendan J Stephens and Willow Walker. This unique duo fits right in with the Vintage Marketplace vibe, armed with a guitar, washboard, snare and violin, plus a unique creation that combines a car horn with a kazoo!
A fashion shows will take place each day at 2 p.m., curated and directed by Whitney McMeekin of Girl on the Wing.
Car lovers will appreciate the vintage automobiles on display at the show. Last year’s selection included a 1923 “T” Bucket, a 1924 Model T Roadster and a 1969 Mustang. What will you see this year? You’ll have to visit to find out.
Finally, reward yourself after a day of thrifty shopping with a tasty treat prepared by Kreative Katering (the same team who operates The Dirty South food truck!)
